The basis for this model is the Walthers Executive Line bay-window caboose. Although not a C-26, this is the closest mass-produced plastic model available, and although differs from the C-26 most notably in window arrangement, it at least captures the look of the prototype.
The model is enhanced with thin plastic window glazing and unique scratchbuilt simulated window screens. The model is finished in Enchantment Blue with yellow stripes, handrails, roof aprons, and grab irons. The roof is silver and underframe is black.
The commercial decals are supplemented with custom made stencils, red safety stripes and end numbers.
